United Group takes over Bulgarian Vivacom

United Group, the leading telecommunications and media operator in Southeast Europe, has announced the completion of its Vivacom takeover process. in April 2020, the European Commission approved the acquisition, while the takeover agreement was signed in November 2019, after United Group won a tender to buy this leading telecommunications company in Bulgaria. The takeover of Vivacom is the latest step in the United Group's growth strategy, following the takeover of Tele2 in Croatia in early 2020 and the agreement on the purchase of the Greek telecommunications operator Forthnet, which is expected to take place soon.
