The producer of electric cables and optical fiber Prysmian from Slatina, started the works on a new production line of medium voltage electric cables, at the factory in Slatina.

The project represents a direct investment by the company, of EUR 23 million, over a period of three years, and will increase the factory's capacity by 12,000 tons per year of medium voltage electric cable, say the company's representatives.

"The Prysmian factories in Slatina are oriented towards saving resources, but also protecting the environment, and in the power cable factory, one of these new cables will be made using an innovative technology that ensures the reduction of CO2 emissions by one ton per kilometer of cable product," says Daniela Burca, COO Prysmian Romania.
