Poland: Registered unemployment rate was 5.4% in February

The registered unemployment rate was 5.4% at the end of February this year, compared to 5.4% a month earlier, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported. In February 2023, this rate was 5.6%.

The number of newly registered unemployed was 110,1 thousand in February 2024, compared to 134,700 a month earlier, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) announced.

The number of newly registered unemployed a year ago amounted to 107.9 thousand, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported.

The number of registered unemployed at the end of January 2024 was 845,300 compared to 837,100 a month earlier.

As previously reported by the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy, according to its estimates, the registered unemployment rate was 5.4% at the end of February 2024. (compared to 5.4% a month earlier).
