MKB Bank is considering acquiring a stake in Croatiaʼs Slatinska banka. Hungary’s fourth biggest commercial bank confirmed the news after it was leaked by Croatian media outlets. “The company is considering the possibility and examining the conditions of acquiring a shareholding stake in Slatinska banka,” MKB said in a statement. The bank did not disclose the size of the stake it was considering. MKB is also exploring the possibility of merging with Budapest Bank and the savings and loans group Takarek to create the second biggest banking group in Hungary.
