LPP Group has decided to expand the Distribution Centre in Brześci Kujawski with a new warehouse hall with an area of 85,000 m2, the company said. The increased operational capabilities of the facility will thus be an important support for the expansion of the Group in the markets of central and southern Europe.

Launched in 2022. The LPP Group Distribution Centre in the Brzeska Economic Zone currently covers an area of 75,000 sqm and employs about 700 people. Due to the planned development of the network of the Gdańsk company’s sales network on foreign markets, in particular in the central and southern part of Europe, and thus the need to increase the operational capacity of logistics, the decision was made to expand the warehouse hall in the Brzeg region to 160 thousand m2, it was given.

“Expanding the sales range of LPP Group brands in Poland and abroad is a challenge that requires solid logistics facilities. The Distribution Centre in the municipality of Brześć Kujawski is one of the strategic points in the distribution and supply network managed by LPP Logistics. Therefore, the expansion of warehouse space in this location will play an important role in the further development of the Group. Thanks to the additional hall and proprietary solutions from the area of warehouse automation, we will increase the potential of the facility and effectively respond to the growing volumes of shipments. An important point in the planning of our logistics investments remains to reduce their impact on the environment, which is why when we expand the warehouse, we will not miss such elements as BREEAM certification or the use of renewable energy sources to power the building," said Sebastian Sołtys, President of LPP Logistics.

Work on the development of the center will begin in April this year. According to the plan, the new warehouse space with a capacity of 117,000 pallet spaces is to be launched by March 2025. Thanks to the expansion, the total area of the facility managed by LPP Logistics located in the Brzeska Economic Zone will amount to 160,000 m2, providing a total of over 200 thousand pallet spaces. Ultimately, the number of people working in the Distribution Centre will increase to nearly 1,500 employees.
