Lifestyle hotel NYX from the Leonardo Hotels network will be part of the Dornych project in Brno
The Dornych project by Crestyl Group, which will replace the old shopping centre in the vicinity of Brno's main railway station in the coming years, will also offer a hotel. The Leonardo Hotels chain will strengthen its presence in the Czech Republic with the opening of the new lifestyle hotel NYX Hotel Brno by Leonardo Hotels. It will open in mid-2028 and will be the group's second hotel in the Czech Republic after NYX Hotel Prague, which opened in 2017. The Dornych project will offer a freely accessible public space flanked by several smaller buildings. The lower floors of the new buildings will be reserved for shops and services, while the upper floors will house rental housing and offices in addition to the aforementioned hotel. One of the buildings will be occupied by the EUC clinic.

The new NYX Hotel Brno will have 170 stylish rooms on seven floors. The unconventional NYX bar and restaurant, which will be the centrepiece of the hotel, will invite hotel guests and locals alike to meet and party. The highlight of the hotel will be the terrace overlooking the city.

The tender for the operator was conducted by the hospitality department of Cushman & Wakefield for Crestyl. The result is a strategic long-term lease agreement with Leonardo Hotels for its NYX luxury lifestyle hotel concept. Significant interest from international and local operators underlines the importance of Brno's dynamic hotel market and its growing attractiveness as a location for innovative hotel concepts. NYX Hotel Brno complements and enriches the city's hotel offer.

The Dornych project will replace the current dilapidated giant building with a partially roofed open-air public space with a total area of 25,000 sqm, around which six smaller buildings will be built. In addition to the NYX hotel, they will house rental housing, offices, restaurants, shops and services - specifically 186 apartments and approximately 50,000 sqm of office and retail space. The EUC clinic will also be included, and the hallmark of Dornych should be a completely unique range of restaurants, bars and cafes, in addition to a huge public space.
The buildings will have a maximum of seven to eight floors. Parking is planned in underground garages. The whole project will of course be connected to the street network and the underpass under the station, linking the historic city centre with the planned South Quarter. The total investment in the project is over seven billion crowns. The current timetable envisages that the closure of the existing building and its demolition will take place in the autumn of this year. The project is expected to be completed in approximately three years from the start of demolition.
