Global sales of toy and decoration retailer Jumbo broke the €1 billion barrier last year, reaching EUR 1.089 billion, a 13.90 percent increase over 2022.
As for the first quarter of 2024, sales increased by approximately 17 percent compared to the corresponding period last year. In Romania, network and online store sales registered a 13 percent increase in the first quarter of the year, compared to the same period last year.

Jumbo ended 2023 with 85 stores (53 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus, 10 in Bulgaria and 17 in Romania).

Thus, Jumbo wants to open three more hypermarkets in Romania this year. Two of the stores were planned in Oradea (already open) and Timișoara, followed by a new store in Bucharest, within the Liberty Center mall.
