International Campus Group (IC), a leading investor, developer, owner, and operator of student housing and urban living concepts in Europe has opened THE FIZZ Leiden in the Netherlands for letting, comprising a total of 394 student apartments and offering a vibrant and inspiring home for students right in the centre of Leiden. Within a few days of opening, 147 apartments had been rented.

THE FIZZ living concept gives students the opportunity to choose from a variety of fully equipped apartments ranging from 24 to 50 square metres in size, each with its own bathroom and kitchen. In addition, communal areas such as study rooms or a fitness studio are available, promoting a balanced and enriching student life. Following the award-winning THE FIZZ Utrecht, this building is IC's second student house in the Netherlands.

THE FIZZ Leiden was completed within two years in collaboration with the general contractor Niersman B.V. Sustainability was given special emphasis in this process. THE FIZZ Leiden will be certified as the coveted LEED Gold standard and will employ innovative technologies such as a thermal energy system, solar panels, and a rainwater collection system. With a green roof and a green facade, the building harmoniously blends into its surroundings. Students can measure and optimize their energy consumption with their own utility meters.

Edward Klaassen, Residential Manager in the Netherlands, aptly describes THE FIZZ Leiden as: "A little Leiden in Leiden. An exciting community of international students connected with a diverse selection of exciting places and spaces."

Gawain Smart, CEO of International Campus Group, emphasizes the strategic importance of the location, noting: "The location in Leiden is perfect for our new student residence. It is well connected to Leiden University, the Leiden Bio Science Park, the city centre, and the Dutch train network. With this development, we not only aim to provide high-quality living space but also to alleviate the tight Dutch housing market while significantly expanding our portfolio in the Netherlands."

The cities of Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and The Hague are reachable from Leiden by car and train in less than 30 minutes. The international airport Schiphol near Amsterdam is only 30 minutes away.
