Cyclades islands put on sale as demand for Greek properties strengthens

Several small islands in the Aegean Sea have been put up for sale. The cheapest can be bought for €4.9m, while the most expensive, with an area of 1.1 million sqm, is on offer for €12m. They belong Cyclades group of islands are close to the more famous islands of Folegandros, Sikinos, Amorgos, Kufonisia and Syros.

The islands come on sale at the same time as signs that demand for residential real estate is growing. Most of it is coming from abroad, especially from Germany, Britain, the United States, Cyprus, Australia, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Canada. Roughly 70 percent of prospective buyers are looking to acquire residential properties, but nearly 15 percent are interested in leasing. A further 8 percent are only interested in land.
