Brasov City Hall has started an investment project of over EUR 4.2 million excluding VAT, financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), which involves the construction of 60 apartments intended for families of young people from the city. The project will include 10 buildings, each with 6 apartments.

"Initially, this project was proposed to be built in the Stupini district, but considering the fact that a Zonal Urbanism Plan (PUZ) had to be developed for the proposed location, which would have greatly extended the period of building the houses, the municipality of made the decision to relocate them in the Noua neighborhood. The nZEB Plus (Nearly Zero Energy Buildings) houses are buildings whose energy consumption is almost equal to zero and which produce a good part of energy from renewable sources,'' says the press release of Braşov City Hall.

To be eligible, the young people from Brasov must be between 18 and 35 years old, the income per family member must be lower than the average monthly salary for the economy, they must not own a house/have not owned a house, they live in an overcrowded and precarious dwelling. The criteria may take into account whether young people take care of one or more children at household level.
