Speedwell wants to spend at least 1.5 billion euros on acquisitions in Poland

Baltisse and Straco Real Estate, which have taken over the majority stake in the Romanian market developer Speedwell, announce the entry into the Polish real estate market, where they want to spend at least 1.5 billion euros on acquisitions in the coming years.

“The combination of forces with Baltisse and Straco Real Estate is an incredible opportunity for Speedwell to strengthen its position and increase the number of top-quality real estate projects in Romania and Poland. Together, we are able to seize emerging opportunities in the region and ensure sustainable value for our stakeholders. Speedwell has the ambition to acquire assets of similar value in Poland as its Romanian portfolio, i.e. 1.5 billion euros. We are interested in the assets of various classes - from apartments for sale to individual clients, through institutional lease projects (PRS) and private dormitories (PBSA), to offices or warehouse space. As for the locations, in addition to Warsaw, we are also considering the largest regional markets," said Speedwell co-founder Didier Balcaen.

The portfolio of already commissioned and executed Speedwell facilities consists of over 150,000 sqm of offices, 23,000 m2 of warehouse space and over 6,000 residential units. The company is also currently working on mixed-use projects, indicated in the material.

Last week, Straco Real Estate and Baltisse announced the successful acquisition of a majority stake in the Romanian developer Speedwell. At that time, Straco Real Estate assessed that Speedwell is the ideal partner for entering the Polish market.
