Prague 8's council has given the go-ahead to Rohan City, a major project planned for years by Sekyra Group. The project lies on 200,000 sqm of land that the developer has controlled for over a decade and now hopes to be able to begin construction on during 2019. A public meeting presenting the project attracted 70 local residents who were able to discuss the project with Sekyra Group's representatives, local officials, city planners and the architect of the project's urban plan. "Involving our citizens into what's happening in our district is a priority," said deputy mayor Radomir Nepil. The company will have to donate CZK 60m towards the construction of new elementary and nursery schools in Prague 8. Its mayor Roman Petrus said the purpose of such investments was to support the development of new residential construction.
