The Pardubice Region wants to start or complete about a hundred reconstructions of roads and bridges this year. Project documentation is being prepared for nearly 70 more. The region plans to invest nearly CZK 3 billion, including VAT, in roads, the regional administration.

The projects for this year include large investments with budgets in the hundreds of millions and smaller actions. In addition to the most important ones, such as the reconstruction of the Wonka Bridge, the bypasses of Rokytno and Dašice or the modernisation of the II/312 Choceň - České Libchavy road, work has also started on other construction sites. For example, the roundabout in Skutč is under construction, the road on the passage through the village of Vraclav in the Orlickoústec region is being reconstructed, the reconstruction of the road III/35724 Borová - Oldříš in the Svitavec region and the repair of the bridge on the dam in Křižanovice in the Chrudim region is continuing. Archaeological research has also begun on another feeder to the D35 motorway in the Černá za Bory - Dašice section in Pardubice, the modernisation of the road from Třemošnice in Chrudim to the regional border and the repair of the road between Prosečí and Budislav.

All projects planned for this year did not start in April, but due to the necessary administration and traffic closures they will be spread over the whole construction season.

The spring weather has brought with it the opportunity to begin local and large-scale repairs to roadways damaged by excessive loads and weather. The Road Administration and Maintenance of the Pardubice Region takes care of 3,133 kilometres of second and third class roads and 835 bridges. Last year, it invested almost CZK 3 billion in their reconstruction. The road along the slope near Brandýs nad Orlicí was also put into operation two weeks ahead of schedule.
