After the debut in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, further e-commerce platforms of the Kaufland Marketplace will be launched in the late summer in Poland and Austria, the network said. As a result, through Kaufland Global Marketplace, retailers will gain simultaneous access to five markets and more than 81 million customers online.

“As we enter Poland and Austria, we are expanding our presence in Europe and offering retailers the opportunity to gain new markets and reach millions of customers. Kaufland Global Marketplace provides international and local retailers with a proven tool for fast and simple online sales of products in several countries at the same time. In Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia we are one of the largest trading platforms. We want to achieve the same thing now in Poland and Austria,” said Gerald Schonbucher, head of e-commerce at Kaufland.

In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the local Kaufland shopping platforms have been among the largest online retail services since the start of operations. In Slovakia, the number of products has increased tenfold since the launch of the platform a year ago. Today, 4,200 registered retailers offer more than 6.5 million items grouped in more than 6,400 categories. In the Czech Republic, at Kaufland.cz, you can find more than 5.9 million articles from about 4,700 registered bidders, with about a quarter of them being the seller’s country. Kaufland Marketplace has 5 million visits per month in the Czech Republic. In Germany, every month, the Kaufland.de website is visited by up to 32 million users. There you can find over 45 million products from over 6,400 categories, the company reported.

The Kaufland Global Marketplace offers an infrastructure for retailers of all sizes, enabling rapid growth abroad and generating more turnover without the need to involve your own resources. One registration is enough for sellers to gain potentially access to five international markets at the same time and the ability to reach more than 81 million customers online. Offers, orders and product data are managed through the retailer’s central portal, which can be handled manually or automatically. More than 110 partners - software companies - offer automated interface solutions for processing operations on Kaufland Marketplace platforms.

In addition to the technical expansion of the Kaufland Global Marketplace platforms, it also provides numerous services, such as payment processing in local currency or multi-channel marketing solutions in individual countries, it is terminated.
