The Czech Antimonopoly Office (UOHS) has charged four companies with bid rigging resulting in a total of nearly CZK 1m in fines. UOHS found that Likor, Gertabau, Keraservis Group and KPI agreed in 2016 which of them would offer the winning bid for the reconstruction of the floor in the canteen of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech. According to a press release from the office, instructions that would allow Likor to make the best bid were exchanged in emails between them. An investigation was launched at the request of Hyundai which showed that the bids were suspiciously similar, leading to officials going into the offices of three of the companies to study old emails communications.
