The residential developer YIT has begun construction work on Vantaa, the ninth of ten phases of its project Suomi Hloubetin. This phase involves the construction of a quarter of 5- to 6-storey buildings that will offer a total of 104 low-energy flats. Nearly 50 percent of the units have already been sold, with the developer pledging to hand them over by the end of next year. Suomi Hloubetin is a brownfield in which former industrial land is being transformed into a normal residential district with classic city blocks. The project design was prepared by the Loxia studio, which has been involved in the construction of the entire complex. Two tram stops provide public transport access to the area and a metro stop is located within walking distance. YIT will begin work on its next project, the neighboring Lappi Hloubětín at the turn of the new year.
