Starbucks has opened a new cafe on University Square in Bucharest. This is the second new location the coffee chain has opened in Bucharest over the last few weeks. The new University Square cafe spreads over 190 sqm and is located near the Sutu Palace. Starbucks entered the Romanian market in 2007 when it opened its first cafe in Bucharest.

"We are opening the first cafe on University Square, a landmark area for Bucharest residents, and we are glad that coffee-lovers will have a complete experience in the field of specialty coffee and healthy snacks. It is a dynamic period for us. We have many plans for the next period. We will continue to innovate and develop this year as well,” said Karol Zuradzki, regional director for Romania and Bulgaria at Starbucks.
