Belarus ordered 1.21 million tons of crude oil from Russia in August, according to the spokesman of Belneftekhim holding Alexander Tischenko. “Russian companies confirmed requests for the supply of 1.21 million tons of oil to Belarus in August, including 77,000 tons to be shipped by rail and the remaining volume over the oil pipeline,” he said. In total, Belarusian refineries need a reported 1.37 million tons of oil in August, so the remainder is to be covered by supplies from Azerbaijan and the United States. Moscow and Minsk negotiated the price at which the oil would be supplied to Belarus in late March. The scheduled shipments restarted in April 2020.
