Environmental research related to the construction of one of the largest photovoltaic farms in Poland is underway. The investment is being carried out by PGE Energia Odnawialna, a member of the PGE Group. The PV farm is scheduled for completion by the end of this year. The project is going up in the commune of Grebow in the Podkarpacie province, on nearly 152 ha of rehabilitated land used in the past for sulphur mining operations by the company Siarkopol Tarnobrzeg. With a capacity of 77 MW and an annual power generation volume of more than 77,000 MWh, the farm will meet the demand for electricity from 30,000 households, or a town the size of Legnica, according to PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna.
