The Italian retail chain Eurospin will open its first supermarket in Croatia on Thursday in Zadar, the first of 100 it plans to open in the country. There has been talk about the chain's arrival since the end of 2018, when it published advertisements to hire employees and to identify business premises.

The store will be offering a variety of private brands to customers, but it focuses on the sale of food and day-to-day products at discount prices. The company was founded in 1993 but most of its stores are still located in Italy. Eurospin opened its first Slovenia in 2004, where it now operates more than 50 outlets.
