Croatian power company investing HRK 20bn in solar

Coronavirus hasn't slowed down the plans of Hrvatska elektroprivreda (HEP) made to invest HRK 4.9bn in solar power. The company will be built in 11 new solar power plants including two in Kršan in Istria and Lipovljani in Sisak-Moslavina County.

In the first of these, it will build a 40 megawatt plant while in the second it will be a 25 megawatt power plant. In total the 11 new solar plants will generate 120 megawatts of power. The company's goal is to have installed 1,500 megawatts of new capacity based on renewable energy sources by 2030, of which 350 megawatts should be based on solar power.
