Serbian exports decreased 9.5 percent through May

The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced that the country's volume of foreign trade from January to the end of May fell 8.1 percent to €15.34 bn that it was for the same period last year. The value of exported goods fell 9.5 percent to €6.42bn, while imports decreased through May by 7.1 percent, to €8.92 bn.

Serbia's trade deficit of €2.5bn was 0.5 percent less than for the same period last year. Trade to European Union countries made up 60.1 percent in the total trade. The largest trade partner being Germany which bought €819.3m worth of goods and sent Serbia €1.14bn in goods.
