Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the Pomeranian Voivodeship where, in Gdansk, he met the beneficiaries of those receiving government support from the Anti-Crisis Shield, the Financial Shield and the BGK Support Shield. It was an opportunity to summarize the anti-crisis support received by the region to date due to the coronavirus crisis and to present the most important investments. "We have immediately offered solutions to save the Polish economy and Polish jobs. These measures were described by analysts as the largest fiscal package in Europe," said the prime minister. As part of the government support mechanisms, nearly PLN 6bn has so far been allocated to the Pomeranian Voivodeship: PLN 1.8bn from the Anti-Crisis Shield, PLN 3.5bn from the Financial Shield of the Polish Development Fund and PLN 642m from the BGK Support Shield. The total amount of support in the country under these instruments has reached nearly PLN 90bn to date.
