Monthly expenditures on food products in Hungary up 15%

Monthly per capita spending on food products in Hungary increased to HUF 24,600 in the first half of 2018, rising by 15.4 percent y-o-y, according to preliminary household consumption data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH). Hungarians spent HUF 6,685 per month on meat products, HUF 3,971 on milk, eggs and dairy products, HUF 3,647 on bread and bakery products, HUF 2,750 on vegetables and HUF 1,742 on fruit, according to KSH data.
