The refrigeration specialist Hauser has opened a new headquarters in České Budějovice that will replace space it had previously rented. Construction of the building took 14 months to complete. The Austrian-based company found that steady growth of its business had meant that it was outgrowing its existing office space. The new building will offer a modern layout, including meeting points for staff to meet and interact along with meeting rooms and one for seminars. Heating and cooling in the building is handled through the use of ceiling panels that are connected with a heat pump to make it exceedingly energy efficient. Hauser was founded 75 years ago and produced refrigeration furniture exclusively in Austria until expanding its operations to the Czech Republic in 1991. It has another production unit in the town of Kaplice.
