Changes brought about in Spain's office market following three months of confinement due to the Covid-19 pandemic are beginning to be noticeable. The consultancy Laborde Marcet estimates that companies will reduce the amount of space they occupy by around 30 percent, to be replaced by home office for a significant percentage of their workforce. In the case of retail, some brands are looking to downsize their stores, but the idea isn't simply to save money. Instead of larger stores, at more affordable rates, they're interested in smaller, more expensive locations. Prime areas are consolidated with incomes of € 150 to €300 per square meter in the prime shopping streets of Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, and Seville.
