Employees at Billa supermarkets are putting their masks back on under a recent decision by the company. It said the measure was being taken because of the rising number of cases of Covid-19 in the country. The move is supposed to protect its employees and as a signal to consumers who may prefer to shop in a safe environment. The company's spokeswoman Dana Bratankova said customers aren't as careful as they were at the beginning of the pandemic about maintaining distance between themselves and about covering their mouth and nose. Other retailers such as Tesco said they were watching the situation carefully and would follow the recommendations of local hygienic officials.
