Wizz Air expects it will carry a total of 40 million passengers this year, up 15 percent from 2018. Over the next decade, the Hungarian low-cost airline carrier is planning to triple its fleet and start offering routes beyond Europe. Stephen Jones, CEO of Wizz Air Hungary, said the company is set to add 271 planes to its fleet by 2028. Since launching in 2014, Wizz Air has served 215 million passengers. Local news reports are speculating that the carrier may be considering future flight routes to India and North America.
