Wizz Air expanding in Bulgaria

Rising demand has convinced Hungarian based low cost airline Wizz Air to increase its capacity in Bulgaria. The company plans to by a new Airbus A320 bringing the total number of these aircraft in Bulgaria to 9 (seven are based in Sofia, and two along the seaside in Varna). Along with the new aircraft, Wizz Air is adding new routes from Varna to Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Paris, Copenhagen and Liverpool. As many as 35 new jobs could be created in Varna alone. The airline is reacting to a 48 percent increase in the number of passengers from Varna compared to 2017.
