Viresol opens €103m wheat starch plant in Hungary

Viresol has opened new plant in Visonta, northeast Hungary, following a €103.2m investment. The Hungarian government provided a €20m grant for the project. Viresol intends to produce 250,000 tons of wheat at the new plant annually. The facility is staffed with 250 employees. Lorinc Meszaros is Viresol stakeholder. He also controls Opus Global, owner of the nearby power plant.
