Valamar Group to invest €93.4m in Croatia in 2018

The Croatian-based Valamar Group has revealed plans to invest €93.4m in Croatia over the course of 2018. The company plans to complete its project Valamar Girandella Resort, along with camps in Istria and on the island of Krk. It will also carry out investments in Dubrovnik and on the island of Rab. This Croatian tourism giant's activites are expected to create new 600 jobs in all industry segments. At the moment, the company employs 420 people on a permanent basis, with the average salary 20 percent higher than the industry average. In 2017, its investment in Croatian tourism reach €120m and by 2020 its expects to invest about €265m. Valamar Group is forecasting double digit growth in 2018.
