The Szczecin region continues to be an attractive location for warehouse and production facility development, according to Cresa. A number of special investment zones are also being created, including the Goleniowski Industrial Park, the Stargard Industrial Park and the High Technologies Industrial Park in Stargard, where a modern 80,000 sqm logistics facility is in the works. Scandinavian and Western European investors have opened offices in the city, while Amazon and Zalando set up logistics facilities in the area to take advantage of low-priced lands and proximity of Germany, according to Cresa. Western Pomerania is also attractive to firms that are looking to build manufacturing facilities. Such facilities have already been established there by LM Wind Power, Dancoal, Pilkington IGP and Crown Packaging.
