Strabag signs HUF 24.7bn deal to upgrade Budapest metro line

Strabag Hungary was hired to renovate the southern section of the M3 metro line in Budapest. The contract is for HUF 24.7bn with the completion of works scheduled for 2020. Strabag will be upgrading five stations and laying new tracks. The Austrian construction company was previously put in charge of renovating the metro line’s northern section in 2017. Currently, no contractor has been hired to upgrade the middle section. The M3 line covers 17.3 km.
