Software Group secures €18m from EIB to create new technologies

Software Group secured €18m from the European Investment Bank to help the IT giant expand its operations in Bulgaria. The company will use the funding to develop new technologies, platforms and products related to, among other fields, insurance and the Internet of Things. Software Group also intends to create 200 new jobs over the next three years. Founded in 2009 in Sofia, the company operates in 70 countries, including Egypt, Australia, India, Mexico, Kenya, Ghana, the Philippines and the US. Its main clients are Mastercard and the Mastercard Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, IFC, the World Bank and the Asia Development Bank.
