If there's growing pressure on the Czech automobile sector, it's hard to tell by looking at the results of Škoda Auto. The company just set a record for July deliveries, reporting an increase of 3.1 percent to 102,700 units. Last July, it got close to 6 digits with 99,700 vehicles being delivered. It's been growing particularly strongly in Western Europe, where deliveries rose 12.3 percent as well as in Central Europe, where customers picked up 11.2 percent more than a year ago. Deliveries in Germany rose 16.2 percent to 18,600. "“For the first time in our history, we have delivered more than 100,000 vehicles in a July. We are delighted with the high demand for our SUV models Kodiaq and Karoq. This underlines the fact that we have hit the mark with our SUV campaign," said board member Alain Favey. Deliveries to Czech customers rose to 8,000 vehicles.
