Serbian construction output falls 2.6 percent during Q2

According to the data by the Statistics Office of the Republic of Serbia, the value of construction work in the second quarter fell 2.6 percent in current prices compared to a year ago, or 0.8 percent in constant prices. From a regional standpoint, output rose 2.3 percent in Belgrade and 49.3 percent in Southern and Eastern Serbia.

In Šumadija and Western Serbia the increase was 13.7 percent, while in Vojvodina the figure came in at 25.1 percent compared to the same quarter of 2019. Of that total, 94.1 percent of the work was carried out by on Serbian territory, while the value of all work completed by Serbian contractors during the second quarter was the same in current prices as it was last year.
