Serbia's Ministry of Defense has begun construction of a residential complex for members of the security forces in Kragujevac, within the Denino brdo settlement. In all, 480 units are to be built, with 216 planned in the project's first stage. Minister of defense Aleksandar Vulin was on hand to place the cornerstone of the new complex, which will offer accommodations for €430 per sqm. Once the first project is completed, another 800 apartments in 8 buildings will be built. Ljuba Invest from Paracin has been placed in charge of overseeing construction for the project, which will require 13 kilometers of road improvements to be made along with a new school, a clinic, pharmacy and a kindergarten. In all, Serbia is planning to build 8,000 apartments for its security services.
