Serbia ranks first in Financial Times’ FDI index

Serbia took first place in the Financial Times’ global greenfield foreign direct investment index. Montenegro came in second. Serbia’s index score increased by 1.33 points to 11.92. Serbia reported 107 foreign direct investment projects in 2018, 26 more than in 2017. “Automotive components, food and tobacco, textiles and real estate are Serbia’s leading FDI sectors, and combined they accounted for more than half (54%) of total inbound FDI projects in 2018,” reports the Financial Times.
