Sberbank invited to finance projects in Belarus

Alexander Lukashenko, the Belarusian President, has invited Sberbank to take part in financing large-scale projects in Belarus. He made the statement as he met with President, Chairman of the Executive Board of PAO Sberbank of Russia Herman Gref. “If Sberbank is ready to participate in these projects, I would be glad to welcome you here, your participation in large-scale financing of our economy,” he said. In Belarus, the Russian bank trades under the name PAO BPS-Sberbank. PAO Sberbank owns 98.43 percent of the Belarusian bank's stock and ranks in the country's top-five banks in terms of the total value of its assets. The bank has been working actively in Belarus and has developed a large portfolio of contracts and participation in various projects.
