The agency Standard & Poors (S & P) has raised the credit rating of Slovenia to A plus and given it a positive outlook thanks to strong economic growth and positive employment figures. S&P reports that the country has also managed to reduce debt levels in 2015 and credits the government with successful management of the economy. The expectation is that government debt will be reduced to about 40 percent of GDP by 2022 and that the country will enjoy GDP growth of 3.4 percent in 2019.
