Ryanair will begin flights from Prague to Manchester by this winter, with nine flights weekly being scheduled. The company claims that it intends to go head to head with easyJet and Jet2, both of which operate flights to the city. "We're going to keep growing in the Czech Republic, we want to be the Czech number one," said its sales and marketing director Chiara Ravara. It currently ranks third in terms of the total number of passengers carried and controls 15 percent of the market. By the end of March it will increase the number of planes it has in Prague from two to four and will be adding 11 new destinations to its schedule, including Zadar and Mallorca.
