Romanian construction volume up 10.4%

The construction volume on the Romanian market was up 10.4 percent last year, according to the National Statistics Institute (INS). The increase was due to a 20-percent jump in construction engineering and a 1.1-percent rise in non-residential buildings.

Housing project, meanwhile, fell by 5.8 percent. Growth was also reported in capital repair projects (31.8 percent), maintenance (13.3 percent) and new builds (5.2 percent).
