Quectel Wireless Solutions is planning to open a research and development center in Belgrade. Scheduled to open in the first quarter of next year, the center will be run by the Chinese company’s Serbian subsidiary, Quectel Research & Development Center Europe. The center will focus on customer-driven activities, including software customization and Internet of Things integration and design. Quectel produces cellular and Global Navigation Satellite System modules. “We are strengthening our local R&D capacities in Europe so that our engineering team can work more efficiently to turn great ideas into the latest IoT modules for customers and get their products to the market more quickly,” said Quectel CEO Patrick Qian.
