Czechs are using smart phones to do their online shopping with increasing frequency, according to data released by the country's largest online retailer, Alza.cz. The company reports that 28 percent of of the orders its receives are made through its mobile webpage or its specialized app, while 50 percent of its customers are viewing offers through mobile devices. A year ago, 21 percent of orders were made from mobile devices. Orders made through the company's classic webpage rose 18 percent a year ago, but mobile-based sales rose 60 percent. The most common sales made on mobile phones are for lower-cost items or for products where the customer knows precisely what they want to buy. This tends to include telephones, electronics, and cosmetics.
