The Croatian retail chain Pevec has acquired the building it operates a DIY store out of in Jankomir Zagreb along with the neighboring shopping center called Solidum. Pevec completed the deal for a reported €11.1m, which includes the 111,322sqm of land the buildings stand on. The acquisition brings to 11 the number of shopping centers owned by Pevec, which has 26 stores across Croatia. In order to strengthen its market position further, Pevec plans to carry continuing opening new stores. In 2018 Pevec bought a shopping center from OTP Aventin in the Bakar Kukuljanovo industrial zone where it has a store. This year, it's already bought a plot of land where it plans to build a new store in Vinkovci in northeastern Croatia. Pevec is a DIY household supplies and hardware store founded in Croatia in 1990.
