Pepco opens 214 stores in Romania in four years

Discount Polish retailer Pepco has opened 214 stores across Romania over the last four years. The company has been targeting large, small and medium-sized cities, including localities with less than 20,000 inhabitants. Pepco reported €150m in business last year, double what it reported for its Romanian operations in 2016. The rapid expansion has made the retailer a leading player on the local market.
