In a public tender held by Prague 6 for a piece of development land, Penta offered a winning bid of CZK 436.5m, according to the Czech Press Agency (ČTK). The city district's mayor Ondřej Kolář said that this far exceeded its minimum expectations of CZK 250m. It means that Penta gets what every Prague developer claims is almost impossible to secure: a piece of land with planning and building permits in place. It also means that Prague 6 will have the money it needs to build a new swimming pool. Seven companies reportedly took part in the tender, with the top three bidders proceeding to the second round. Penta's new plot is a brownfield site between the Ořechovka a Veleslavín neighborhoods.
