Online platform wins Bank of Spain authorization as mortgage broker

The Bank of Spain has granted the first ever authorization for an online portal to provide mortgage brokerage services to Idealista. The company said all of the people involved in the mortgage brokerage activities have to be officially registered in Spain. Director Juan Villén says the license recognizes the company's 10-year history of providing best practice services. The website also provides a calculator to help consumers work out how much they would end up paying in fees and interest under a variety of scenarios. It's also possible to fill out mortgage applications online and receive responses immediately from a variety of banks.
