Online fashion retailers net HUF 153bn in Hungary last year

While brick-and-mortar fashion stores reported HUF 550bn in revenues last year, their online counterparts are quickly gaining traction. Online fashion retailers made more than HUF 153bn in sales last year, up 12 percent from 2017, according to data recently published by Glami.hu. The country’s leading online retailers include H&M, Bonprix and Ecipo.hu. Online sales currently make up 22 percent of the fashion sector’s market share. The trend is growing. By 2022, online fashion retailers are expected to command 28 percent of the market share.
