Office take-up in Poznan tops 17,200 sqm in H1

Office take-up in Poznan topped 17,200 sqm in the first six months of this year, accounting for 28 percent of the annual average between 2015 and 2019, according to Cresa. The leading sectors in the second quarter of 2020 were banking and IT, which generated 38 percent and 31 percent of the leasing volume, respectively. Poznan’s office stock expanded to 582,000 sqm at the end of June, up by 5 percent y-o-y. Although no new office building was delivered to the Poznan market in the second quarter, Skanska’s Nowy Rynek D is currently underway. The largest office deals in Poznan in H1 included a pre-lease by Rockwool at Nowy Rynek D (6,000 sqm), an expansion by GSK at Business Garden Poznan B6 (3,400 sqm) and a new lease at Business Garden Poznan II signed by PKO BP (1,600 sqm). The city’s vacancy rate stood at 14.5 percent at the end of June, up 2.4 percent y-o-y, according to Cresa.
